I use to love coming here, I’d spend hours sifting with through the isles finding gems like a $12 Chanel shirt…
Well those day are long gone, I cannot get behind these prices. Lamps are $75 and clothes are at new prices. Look, I know inflation is going up, but everything is donated and I thought Saint Vincent was there to help those who can’t afford first hand goods. I guess just like the Catholic Church, Saint Vincent de Paul is just as greedy.
Years ago this was a very affordable thrift store for the low income residents in this community in Boyle Heights. Since the gentrification started recently and more new luxury apartments opened up this thrift store has become a store for the wealthy. The prices are truly ridiculous and is more of a business rather than a charity store. I will not be donating anything to St Vincent of Paul any more.
Awesome, it had so many things that were interesting to me. i wish it didnt close so early though. Also a photo of the things i bought! They're now all cleaned up, so they don't look as dirty, the prices were pretty good too.
I used to love coming here for the amount of items and things to look through. It was a GIANT thrift store, but now the prices have gotten out of hand. They are selling used items for the same as if you bought them new. I’m now officially DONE shopping here. It’s a shame, because it’s only a matter of time before others start to realize the same. I’ve included photos to show what I’m talking about.
I have been shopping here for years. When i was a teenager my mother would give me money to go here. I was there on sunday and i honestly couldn't belive the prices. They're ridiculous. It's used clothing but they're selling it for brand new prices. It's awful.
Big store and a variety of items, everything on display is meticulously placed, but more than half of these items are overpriced even the items which are marked 50% off. Was helped by Mercedes today, what a presumptuous woman, had she taken a break from chit chatting with the customer, she could’ve instructed me on proper checkout procedure. Rather she told me last minute and still tried to sell me an item at full price due to someone else messing with the tag.
Great selection of clothes! You do definitely have to look through them and pick out the best ones, but prices are unbeatable! Some brand names for very cheap and a lot of furniture along with cookware/dinnerware and many other greatly conditioned items!
Parking is full some times but its a big lot. So you will definitely find one.
This has to be one of the best thrift shops, I have ever visited. Reasonable pricing n a great selection of items. I ended buying a pair of Nike shoes brand new for $20, they had a red tag on them which was 50% off. I will be back real soon.
Overpriced for dirty and used items. People are better off buying them knew instead.
Someone stole my friend’s purse and the staff found the person and retrieved it. Used the cameras and had like ten people looking for them. Store is well kept and huge. Much appreciation to them.
